Moto Legend Cups: May 28 and 29, 2022
In three weeks, the largest European gathering of vintage motorcycles will be held on the Dijon-Prenois circuit. If you are a fan of old motorcycles, Café racers, in short, exceptional motorcycles, book your last weekend in May. Because of the show, there will be! Judge instead:
- 1,300 pilots;
- 7 p.m. on the track;
- 12 categories;
- 48 hours of entertainment.
On the program of the Legend Motorcycle Cups
An enticing program not to be missed! The show will be spectacular on the track throughout the weekend and the boxes will have many surprises in store for you. The “World Classic Racing Bike” (boxes 11 and 12) will present its motorcycles from the GP, Endurance and Superbike collections.
Founded in 2016, this club brings together eight countries: Italy, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Spain, Venezuela, England and Switzerland. These old motorcycle enthusiasts and collectors have the objective of restoring and safeguarding original GP motorcycles.
On the occasion of the Moto Légende Cups , riders Carlos Lavado (250cc world champion 1983 and 1986) and Marco Lucchinelli (500cc world champion 1981 ) will set off on the Dijon-Prenois circuit on the handlebars of Yamaha TZ 250 from 91 and Honda HRC RS 500 from 83 .
Not far from there, boxes 15 and 16 are reserved for French drivers with small displacements, competing in the French championship and the world championship: Patrick Plisson, Jean-Marc Torro, Philippe Linares, Joël Malatino, Claude Delarbre and Patrice Froissard. The opportunity to see exceptional motorcycles like the Honda CR110 50cc or MBA 125cc .
Then go to boxes 19 and 20 to discover a wonderful exhibition orchestrated by the Bol d'Or club de France on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the CB1100R .
An anthology of old motorcycles on the Dijon-Prenois circuit
From May 28 to 29, the surface of the Dijon-Prenois circuit will not really have time to cool down! The engines of our old ones will be able to express themselves and give their all throughout the weekend for our greatest pleasure.
Production motorcycles, Endurance motorcycles, Side-cars, Grand-Prix motorcycles and Café Racer will offer an unforgettable spectacle. The opportunity to fill the image box with snapshots and fabulous memories.

The history of the Dijon-Prenois circuit
Inaugurated on May 26, 1972 , the Dijon-Prenois automobile stadium then had a track of 3,289 m, 3,800 m today. On July 7, 1974, Ronnie Peterson won the 1st Formula 1 French Grand Prix held on this circuit.
On June 5, 1977, the FIM 750cc World Championship took place there. The same year, on July 3, Mario Andretti will win the Formula 1 Grand Prix there. Alain Prost will celebrate his first Grand Prix victory there on July 5, 1981 and Niki Lauda will close the Formula 1 adventure on the circuit on May 20, 1984. .
In 2004 , the Coupes Moto Légende inaugurated their first gathering and welcomed 35,000 spectators ! A resounding success for this first edition.
