Differences between double layer and single layer motorcycle pants

If traditionally, motorcycle pants are lined, now the technology allows to improve the resilience and comfort from a single layer .

In general, a double layer trouser consists of:

• an outer layer in Denim;
• a Kevlar-type abrasion-resistant inner lining;
• sometimes a layer of mesh to ventilate and protect the skin from the abrasive fabric.

The FUEL 3CORE single-layer fabric, from Fuel Motorcycles , is, for its part, designed with a single layer made up of three threads :

• polyamide;
• cotton ;
• spandex.

The abrasion resistant fiber is woven directly into the material instead of being added by a separate layer.
