Detailed description

The polo shirt has a long history in motorsports, from paddock teams to 60s racing clubs, it was everywhere engines ran. The "Zach" polo shirt from Morex Custom reinterprets it on its own terms: an oversized boxy fit, contrasting green sleeves, a zipped collar, and large-format embroidery on the chest. Neither truly classic nor truly contemporary, exactly where Morex Custom likes to operate.

Two-tone oversized polo shirt: the boxy fit that reinterprets a classic
The "Zach" silhouette deliberately deviates from the traditional fitted polo shirt. The boxy cut widens the shoulders, slightly shortens the length, and gives the garment that square volume characteristic of well-constructed oversized pieces. The green sleeves contrast with the off-white body without trying to be subtle.
It's an assumed chromatic contrast, in the vein of the "Leon" and its tricolor stripes. Two pieces, two different ways of playing with color, the same DNA.
Premium honeycomb cotton: a texture that stands out
Honeycomb cotton is the material that differentiates the "Zach" from the rest of the t-shirt range. Its textured surface, composed of small hexagonal reliefs, gives a richness to the touch that flat jersey lacks; it's visually thicker, more breathable in use, and more interesting in the light.
This is the material of quality polo shirts, the kind found on pieces that age well rather than sagging.

Zipped collar and large-format embroidery: the two details that make the piece
The zipped collar of the "Zach" is the detail that shifts the polo shirt towards vintage sportswear rather than formal wear. A short, functional closure, reminiscent of cycling jerseys and competition polo shirts from past decades.
On the chest, the "Morex / Designed to Ride" embroidery in green script spans the entire width of the torso, a signature that is both elegant in its typography and assertive in its proportions. On the back, the same motif in a reduced format under the collar. Graphic consistency throughout.
Morex Custom at Blackpines: the motorcycle polo shirt that doesn't need to apologize for being a polo shirt
In the world of motorcycle streetwear, the polo shirt is a rare item, often too dressed up for the garage, not assertive enough to stand out against t-shirts and jackets. Morex Custom solved this problem by making the "Zach" a piece that doesn't fit into any single category. Neither workwear, nor formalwear, nor pure streetwear.
A hybrid object, made for those who appreciate clothing that has thought about what it wants to be. At Blackpines, this is exactly the kind of piece we were looking for.
