BMW F450GS Radiator Guard: Preserving Engine Cooling
A radiator clogged or damaged by an impact gradually reduces cooling performance, and a more severe impact can cause a leak that simply prevents further riding.
This protective grille catches gravel, insects, and other foreign objects before they reach the radiator's fine fins, while maintaining optimal airflow.
Radiator cleaning, an argument not to be underestimated
Without protection, insects and debris accumulate in the radiator's fine fins, making cleaning long and tedious. The fine-mesh grille retains most of this dirt on the surface, which is easier to clean, while sustainably preserving the motorcycle's cooling performance.
FAQ - Wunderlich radiator grille for BMW F450GS
Does this grille reduce engine cooling?
No, the fine-mesh grille is designed to maintain optimal airflow while filtering out debris.
Does the installation change the front appearance of the F450GS?
No, the protection integrates into the front silhouette of the BMW F 450 GS without distorting it.
Is the mounting hardware included with the protection?
Yes, the protection comes with all the mounting hardware needed for its installation.
Is this protection compatible with high-pressure cleaning?
Yes, the stainless steel grille and anodized aluminum frame resist conventional jet washing without risk of corrosion or premature discoloration.
What's the difference between this and a generic protective grille?
A generic grille rarely fits precisely the contour of the F 450 GS radiator, which can leave unprotected areas on the edges. This one is specifically sized for this model, with careful assembly between the grille and frame.
